Learn & Have Fun
The Thackray Museum was one of the first museums in the country to design new exhibitions specifically tailored to meet the needs of teachers delivering the National Curriculum. The exhibitions and education support material have been developed by teachers, for teachers, so you can be sure that a visit fulfils all your requirements. Learning remains at the heart of the museum experience and our displays are designed to be accessible to visitors of all ages and abilities. We aim to make learning enjoyable and fun for everyone. The Thackray Museum is committed to lifelong learning. If you’d like to know more about medical history, we recommend trying our lecture series. The Museum was one of the first to design new exhibitions to meet the specific needs of teachers delivering the national curriculum.
We are open daily, 10:00am – 5.00pm.
Closed 24th – 26th & 31st December and 1st January.
