Piggs Playbarn

The Apley Farm Shop was developed in March 2011 from old farm buildings at Stockton on the Apley Estate, owned & managed by the Hamilton family. The sympathetic restoration was undertaken acknowledging & preserving the buildings’ features, history & heritage. The Estate is the epitome of rural English splendour. Shropshire boasts rolling hills, big skies, grazing cattle, wild flowers, birds of prey & the River Severn, which all provide a magnificent backdrop for the Estate.

The Farm Shop aims to source some of the tastiest food & drinks from our own estate, tenant farms, local suppliers & small food producers, keeping it as local as possible.

The Butcher sells meat direct from Apley Estate, local or tenant farms.

The Delicatessen stocks cheeses, freshly prepared pies, pastries & sausage rolls. Apley scotch eggs, handmade ready meals, tarts & handmade pâtés made at the Farm Shop.

Apley has everything for the family; Pigg’s Playbarn, Creamery Café, Apley Plant Centre, Alley Katz Toy Shop, Scotty’s Animal Park, Annie’s Reiki centre, Big Little Things & Lottie’s Fashion.

Apley’s Corn Loft Conference room is a charming venue for small business meetings, private functions, group visits & fun-filled family events.

Pigg’s Playbarn has solar panels & the whole Apley Farm Shop site is heated by a wood chip boiler. These form part of an ongoing renewable energy programme that encourages self-sufficient, environmentally-friendly power generation using wood from the Estate.

Last admission is half an hour before closing.
