Description
Welney Wetland Centre is the place to watch one of nature’s most magical
sights – the winter gathering of up to 9,000 swans and ducks arriving
from the Arctic. But the centre isn’t just a winter destination, with
vast flocks of wetlands wildlife to spot throughout the year - including
summer waders, dragonflies and avocets – and stunning walks along the
Ouse Washes.
Open 7 days a week, except 25 December Summer (28 February - 30th October 2011) 9.30am to 5.00pm - Visitor Centre, Shop, Reserve and Observatory 9.30am to 4.30pm - Wigeon Cafe Last admissions are at 4.30pm Winter (Mon 31 October 2011 - Sun 26 February 2012) Mondays, Tuesdays & Wednesdays 10.00am to 5.00pm - Visitor centre/shop/reserve (Wigeon café closes at 4.30pm) Thursdays - Sundays 10.00am to 8.00pm – Visitor centre/shop/reserve (Wigeon café closes at 6.15pm) Late night last admission at 6.30pm.
