Woolacombe Sands
One of Devon's best loved summer destinations with wide sands for beach games, dunes for hide and seek, and rock pools for marine life.
There's a lighthouse on Lundy island visible from the beach and you can get a boat trip out there from nearby Ilfracombe.

There's also the National Trust headland at Morte Point where you can get a tractor tour.
Immediate vicinity facilities include toilets with disabled access and baby changing room, local pay parking cafes, shops, pubs and restaurants.
Dogs are apparently welcome on the middle and end sections of the beach but some restrictions do apply, watch out for the signs.
Lifeguard cover is from Easter to October, and the waters are nice for swimming or surfing though the swells aren't huge.
Please note that the contact information is for the local tourist information point, so you should please plan your journey independently.

Admission:
Entry free but local parking charges apply.

Opening Times:
Lifeguard cover Easter to October.
