Wincobank Hill

Wincobank Hill offers superb views over Sheffield and is made up of a mixture of heathland, woodland and open ground so there is plenty of space for the kids to run about and ramble.

An Iron Age hill fort, consisting of a rampart and ditch, occupies a commanding position on the hilltop and many other historic features have also been found in the woodland, such as the remains of a Roman Ridge.

There is ancient coppice woodland on the western slopes of the hill, called Wincobank Wood.
