Wentworth Castle Gardens
Children have the freedom to discover our vast parkland, which is home to a deer park and an array of plants and animals.
Hidden within the landscapes are a variety of 18th century follies to be explored and admired, including the remains of Stainborough Castle which was built as a gigantic play area for the children of Thomas Wentworth. Visitors can now climb to the top of the folly restored tower and admire the far reaching views over Yorkshire.
If the climb to the top of the tower leaves you in need of refreshment we have a family friendly tearoom which serves hot and cold meals and snacks. Close by is our large play area and we run a year round programme of events for children and families. Dogs welcome on a lead in the Parkland, but not permitted in the Gardens.
