Description

Chiltern Railways are to reopen the Terminal platforms at Birmingham Moor Street station almost 25 years after they were last used by trains. Chiltern will be celebrating the event throughout the day, and as part of those celebrations, we have been asked if we would operate the first train out of the station using the Vintage Trains coaches hauled by our Castle class locomotive No 5043 Earl of Mount Edgcumbe. We are delighted to have been asked, and consequently arrangements have been made to operate a train from Moor Street to London’s Paddington station, recreating the Birmingham to London express trains of the 1950’s.
This tour provides the unique opportunity of you being one of the first passengers to travel from the newly connected station and by steam as well!
