Description
Thistle Drive playcentre is a two storey, multi-room
converted barn which is accessible to all abilities. We
are committed to taking positive steps to ensure that
children and young people have the right to good quality play and
recreational activities.
We provide open access play for children aged 5 (and in
school year 1) to their 14th birthday.

We are hoping to see some changes to the playcentre
during Autumn/Winter 2010. This may mean that the
playcentre will be closed whilst work is taking place. Please check
our opening times with staff throughout this period.
Facilities Available
Thistle Drive Playcentre has a variety of play facilities for
you to enjoy.
- Art Room - art and craft activities are available and this room
is the hub of the playcentre.
- Games Room - we have a pool table, traditional board
games, Playstation and Wii games as well as a book
corner, play kitchen and dressing up which makes
this room an ideal place for all ages to interact.
- Kitchen - we are able to use our kitchen for cooking activities
with the children as well as providing a welcoming cup of tea or
coffee for parents or carers wishing to stay with their
children.
- Soft Play Room - a brilliant way to let off some
steam! This room is full of soft play shapes where the
imagination can run wild.
- Outside Site - full of fun things to do from a sandpit, see saw
and slides to The Barn with indoor area for sports such as
football, hockey and basketball to our Island Hopper Play Group
with its innovative interactive play equipment.
