Description
The Look Out Discovery Centre is open 7 days a week from 10am - 5pm. Whether you're planning a family trip, group visit or even a birthday party, this hands-on science exhibition makes learning fun for everyone. With its 2,600 acres of Crown Estate woodland, nature trails, children's adventure play park, coffee shop and gift shop, you'll be sure to have the time of your life!
The Look Out Discovery Centre takes great care in making sure that all of its customers are made welcome, which is why it has held the prestigious Charter Mark award for excellent customer service since 1997. Find out more.
A day at The Look Out is now quality assured!
We have now been approved by the national tourist board’s Visitor Attraction Quality Assurance Service.
Following an inspection in October, the assessor said The Look Out was a very well managed and organised attraction with high levels of visitor welcome and care provided by friendly staff.

Sound and Rhythm Zone
Play different drums from around the world on our electronic drum kit, or even talk, sing or whistle and see your sound waves displayed on the computer screen
Centre opening times
- Monday - Sunday 10am - 5pm daily
- Free parking for cars and coaches.
- Children under 12 years must be accompanied by an adult (over 18) at all times.
Car park opening times
- 1 April - 30 September = 7.00am - 8.30pm
- 1 October - 31 March = 8.00am - 6.00pm
