Description
The Lavender Line runs for a 2 mile round trip through the beautiful
Sussex Countryside between the village of Isfield and the Parish of
Little Horsted. Come and enjoy the sights and sounds of a steam railway
whilst travelling through the picturesque Wealden countryside.
Operating Days
We will be open every Sunday throughout the year and also on bank
holidays and for some additional special events. We also open for on some
weekdays during the summer months and at half term.
On many Saturdays the railway is used for steam footplate training
courses and on these days we are unable to offer a public train service
although the site is open for visitors to watch the activities. The buffet,
shop and some other facilities will normally also be open.
On running days, the station and buffet are open from 9-00am for
breakfast or other refreshments. Trains normally run about every 30 minutes
throughout the day from 11.00am to 5.00pm except for Santa trains and on
certain special event days
