The Barton under Needwood Treasure Trail
Barton-under-Needwood is a village full of surprises. Lying in rich farmland in the Trent valley, it is skirted by an old Roman road that today carries almost as much traffic as a motorway, while the canal alongside serves as a reminder of less hurried times. Buildings of every era appear at alomost every corner, while in 1734 Alice Holland was the only female Village Constable ever recorded. What else can you discover on this Trail?

A walking Murder Mystery, this 2.5 mile Trail should take 2 hours to complete. It is unsuitable for wheelchairs due to there being two stiles on the route, but lighter pushchairs can still be used. There is a playground at the end and various places where refreshments can be obtained. Barton Marina also has a range of shops and amenities that give an added bonus at the end of the Trail.

Admission:

£6.99 per Trail (not per person). One Trail booklet recommended for a group of 4 to 5 people.
