Shinewater Park, Eastbourne

Shinewater Park is Eastbourne's newest park and combines purpose built recreation facilities within a country park atmosphere. Access to the park is free and year-round. Landscaping work was completed as part of the construction of the Golden Jubilee Way.

Recreation facilities include:

• footpaths and cycleways suitable for wheelchair access
• a well-equipped playground
• a dedicated BMX and skate area
• an all-weather sports court
• a field for informal sports.

The west and north parts of the Park are dedicated to wildlife with examples of:

• dogwood and Scots pine
• moorhen, coot, reed bunting and great crested grebe.
