Mersey Ferries - Liverpool
Mersey Ferries trips are top of the class for school groups when it comes to things to do in Liverpool. We offer fun and interactive learning for children that’s backed up by support and resources for teachers. We even provide free places for teachers too.

Your class can explore both the Wirral skyscape and Liverpool’s waterfront - a UNESCO World Heritage Site - on our Daily River Explorer Cruises.
There’s lively onboard commentary to stimulate their interest and guide what they’re seeing, plus a teacher’s resource pack written with the national curriculum in mind.

Groups can start their journey from any of our three terminals, with return tickets allowing you to break the journey and re-join the cruise later in the day. This means you can combine a cruise with a visit to one of our 3 educational Liverpool attractions on the riverside:

U-Boat Story - This exhibition offers a chance to examine historic World War Two themes and take a look at a magnificent piece of engineering as your class steps aboard a real German U-boat.

Spaceport – Explore the science of space and help their learning blast off with this multi-dimensional attraction. There’s also an opportunity to stimulate their interest in animation, as Spaceport hosts the ‘Wallace and Gromit in Space’ exhibition.

The Beatles Story – Music, popular culture and 20th century history can all be explored as children are taken though the life and times of the world-famous Liverpool band. Plus, visit our Fab4D exhibition for an experience that combines computer-generated animation and ground-breaking special effects.

To plan an educational trip to any of our attractions just get in touch - we’ll be happy to help.
