Holme Open Farm

Holme Open Farm is a traditional dales working farm situated between the Lake District National Park and the Yorkshire Dales National Park in the Lune Valley. The Farm is run by David and Angela Metcalfe.

Holme Open Farm welcomes school visits and families, with tours of the farm giving children chance to touch, hold and feed as many different types of animal as possible. Holding and bottle feeding baby lambs is really exciting; stroking the goats and kids and sometimes being nibbled by them produces shrieks of laughter! And feeding the tiny chicks and holding them amuses even the most timid of children.The ducks, geese, pigs, pony and kittens are also there for everyone to meet.

Why not join us for evening Badger watching, river fishing, bird watching or a riverside picnic. We also have a new children's play area, with swings and slides, as well as a picnic area.
