Set in the beautiful, rolling hills of County Durham, Hall Hill Farm
is a mixed farm of 290 hectares. There are lots of friendly animals
waiting to meet you. Bottle feed the lambs, fluffy chicks, inquisitive
goats, the magnificent Highland Cattle and the children's favourite,
rabbits and guinea pigs to cuddle and stroke.
Hall Hill Farm first opened in 1981, and celebrates its 30th
Anniversary this year. You can have a donkey ride, a tractor and
trailer ride, a swing on a swing and a slide on a slide or enjoy a
well-earned break in our tea shop and an exciting rummage around our
sparkling gift shop. New for 2011 is the Playbarn a new indoor play
area opening on 16th April.
Tractor Rides
Take a tractor ride around the farm, see the
magnificent views of the countyside, the fold of Highland cattle, the
black and white Jacob sheep, Merlin the Billy goat, alpacas and more
from the trailer. Kids love the noisy bumpy tractor and trailer rides!
The tractor rides are free, and take place throughout the day.
Donkey Rides
Children aged 3 to 12 can ride the donkey around the field. We'll
provide the helmets and the donkey, the children provide the smile!
Donkey rides are fully supervised by our trained staff.
Sorry, donkey rides are not available during wet weather.
