HALESOWEN ABBEY
Remains of an abbey founded by King John in the 13th century.

With thanks to the Halesowen Abbey Trust.

BEFORE YOU GO
Please Be Aware: The land immediately around the site of the abbey is privately owned and no access is permitted. The ruins can be viewed from a nearby footpath.

How to Find It: From the A456 the footpath can be found 150 metres west of the Black Horse pub. Follow the footpath south for a further 150 metres to a point just over the stile from where the Abbey can best be viewed.

Dogs: Horses may be grazing in the fields adjacent to the footpath, so please keep your dog on a lead.

PLAN A GREAT DAY OUT
Head into Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter and take a guided tour around the J.W. Evans Silver Factory, or go south of the city and visit the stunning shell of Witley Court, with its beautiful gardens and woodland. The independent tearoom next door serves delicious light lunches and cakes.

OPENING TIMES

30 APRIL 2017 - 24 MARCH 2018
Open to view from the public footpath only.
