Cocksherd Bluebell Wood
A charming local nature reserve supporting a wide variety of flora and fauna and known locally as Bluebell Wood.

An interesting geological feature is the large impressive hollow said to have been gouged out of the terrain by a glacier in the last ice age, a whopping 15,000 years ago!
English bluebells are the star attraction in April, be sure to take a camera. Key plant species to be found here are field maple, hazel, hawthorn, birch, beech, ash, honeysuckle, wild cherry, holly, blackthorn, oak and of course the bluebells!
