Chestnut Centre - Otter Haven & Owl Sanctuary
Welcome to the Chestnut Centre Conservation & Wildlife Park:

Our Conservation and Wildlife Park, located in scenic Peak District National Park of Derbyshire, is set in 50 acres of landscaped grounds and is home, not only to a unique collection of birds and animals, but to many wild birds and mammals.

As you walk about the Wildlife Park you'll see some of Europe's largest gathering of otters, 16 species of owls and other indigenous wildlife all in their natural surroundings including, buzzards, pine martens, polecats, foxes, Scottish wildcats and deer.

We're also are delighted to have the U.K's only Giant Otter named Manoki, who is due to come out of quarantine in early May. Native to South America and an endangered species, they are very rare in captivity.

Just like the 35,000 visitors we receive a year to the Chestnut Centre, we know you'll enjoy your visit - and that you'll want to return time and time again! The Pine Marten enclosure has new resident Tay is a 1year old female and bit shy at the moment but very beautiful.
