Lakes formed from the flooding of a disused gravel pit, surrounded by woodland, wetland and meadow that supports a wide range of wildlife, with one mile surfaced path around the lake. There is a children's play area and toilets on site (including a disabled toilet). Ample parking with disabled bays. Local groups include model boating and angling regularly use this site.  The site is managed for recreation and conservation by East Staffordshire Borough Council (please see website link on the right).  It suports a wide range of wildlife habitats including: the adjacent Trent & Mersey canal; hedges; woodland; a lake; and one of the largest reedbeds in Staffordshire.  Look out for the great range of birds, animal and insects which inhabit these varied habitats.
