Experience - Learn - Develop Avon
Tyrrell Outdoor Activity Centre is situated in the idyllic setting of
the New Forest and is part of the national youth work charity UK Youth.
The Centre provides residential and day visit facilities and activities
for all groups of people. It's a very special place with a unique
atmosphere. Avon
Tyrrell is set in 65 acres of beautiful grounds near the villages of
Burley and Bransgore in the New Forest, England. As a registered charity
(UK Youth), we are fully committed to providing outdoor learning,
development training, activity holidays and breaks for everyone. We are
open to groups (including families) of varying size, ability and
background and our expertise is working with young people, developing
and promoting innovative and exciting learning opportunities, helping
them to develop their full potential. Have a Fantastic Time in a Safe Environment Our main aim is to provide a safe environment for
visitors to; enjoy the great outdoors, have a brilliant time in
a healthy but challenging environment, and leave with great memories
having experienced outdoor learning. We RAISE aspirations, REALISE potential and RECOGNISE achievement, for all our guests when taking part in our activities. We offer: - A variety of accommodation options to suit all budgets, from full board accommodation in our grade 1 listed Avon Tyrrell House, to self-catering accommodation in our log cabins. Between the months of March and October our grounds are also open for camping, using seven small sites scattered across our 65 acre estate.
- A range of adventurous and environmental
outdoor activity experiences, many relevant to National Curriculum key
stages are available. All of our activities are individually priced to
enable you to design your stay around your groups specific
requirements. Our instructors are all fully qualified and trained to
adapt sessions to meet the aims of objectives of your stay, ensuring all
our sessions are just what you need.
- For Corporate groups
we offer plenty of private areas for workshops and meetings either
outside the main House or, if you're already resident, within the main
House itself.
