We are open every Saturday for young
people to come and work hands on with our animals. We have big animals
and little petting animals and young people get the chance to get
involved in all areas of the farm, feeding, exercising, cleaning,
petting.
Through their hands on involvement the children will learn about all the animals nutritional needs, the living environment that helps them thrive, the exercise they need to keep them healthy and the love they need to help them feel safe. This is an educational learning day that allows young people to learn new skills through the involvement of working with animals. For young people who want to work in this industry we also offer an accredited animal care course. We are situated in the Old Shire Horse Centre, Bath Road, in Maidenhead. The day is suitable for young people from the ages of 8 years upwards who have an interest in animals. We work with children of all abilities. The day runs Saturdays 2pm - 5pm. The Cost is £15.00 per child per session payable every fours weeks in advance by standing order i.e. £60.00 per month. Places are limited. One off days are available at the cost £25.00 per session but are limited and not always available. We are also have a small number of volunteer places for workers aged 16 years + | |||||||||||||||||||||
