Acting Up Drama School

Acting Up Drama School
Acting Up Drama School is fast approaching its 14th year. We provide training in drama and singing for young people aged 4-18 years, helping to develop confidence, physical awareness and communicational skills and most importantly being educational and fun. All children are given opportunity to achieve their potential but because we understand that all children are different students are encouraged to make progress at the rate that suits individual needs. Children that attend Acting Up take part in improvisation as well as scripted work and enjoy games which develop drama skills and encourage teamwork which is so important to belonging to a company. However Acting Up reaches beyong the normal after school clubs and extends the opportunity for students to take internationally recognised drama exams. Every year we perform a Musical Theatre show in a local theatre where every child is given a chance to shine. In addition opportunities exist for students to be offered professional work in film, TV, theatre and modelling with a reputable agency. Current students can be seen now in TV commercials for B&Q, Iceland and St Johns Ambulance. All our teachers are qualified and CRB checked. Two of our staff hold a current Paediatric First Aid certificate and we have licensed matrons to assist at our shows so you know your child will be in safe hands.
