To whom it may concern,
My name is Charlotte Richards and I am a student at Manshead School. I am currently studying for my GCSE’s and will be turning 16 at the weekend. I am looking for a weekend/after school /holiday job and would like to enquire as to whether you have any current or upcoming vacancies.
I have previous work experience as a receptionist at my grandfather’s opticians in Watford. My responsibilities included liaising with customers, making appointments, helping customers choose suitable glasses, keeping the shop floor clean and tidy, and cashing up at the close of business. I worked there for 7 months and covered for staff holidays during my own school holidays.
I am hardworking, conscientious and am known for my friendliness and excellent customer service skills. I have 3 younger sisters and babysit for a number of families in the village and hence have lots of experience with children. I have always loved animals, we have 2 cats, used to have 2 adorable rabbits and when I was younger I used to go horse riding.
I am currently studying for 11 GCSE’s and in my spare time enjoy reading, drawing, babysitting, and often help out at events for Caddington Village School PTA.
If you have any vacancies I would very much appreciate it if you could keep me in mind, I can be available immediately and am able to work weekends and after school. I can provide character references from my Grandfather and also the parents of the children that I babysit for.
