Nature of EnquiryDear Dudley Zoo I have been in contact with one of your colleagues regarding a new television programme we are currently making at Maverick Television. Maverick are a production company responsible for award winning programmes such as ‘How to Look Good Naked’, ’10 Years Younger’ and ‘Bizarre ER’, and we are currently looking for participants for our new TV programme. Would it be possibly for us to send you some flyers over that you could possibly distribute at various locations around the park, such as the ticket desk, customer food outlets and toilets, and any other high traffic places around the park. I have attached the flyer we would like you to distribute to this email for your consideration. Also, please feel free to forward this email to anyone you think may be interested in taking part whether it’s personal friends or members of staff. If you could let me know about the feasibility of our request as soon as you can I’d very much appreciate is as we’re working to a tight deadline. In the meantime, if you have any problems or queries then please don’t hesitate to contact our Researcher, Victoria Munro, via the details below. MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE PROGRAMME In short, the aim of this programme is to help people understand more about animals and how to look after them by showing various animals with a variety of illnesses or behavioural problems being treated by our team of expert vets. In addition we’re also looking for three families who are thinking about getting a pet and who would be willing to have a ‘visitor’ for a week....... Whatever the type of animal, our vet will be on hand to impart advice, provide you with the necessary equipment and answer all of your questions, so this really is a unique opportunity not to be missed! There will be no obligation to keep the animal, but we hope if nothing else, it will be an educational and enlightening experience for the whole family. So if you (or your children) have been mulling over the prospect of taking on a pet, be it a dog, a pony, a guinea pig, a goat, a chinchilla or a pair of llamas, we’ll be on hand to make sure you and your pet get off to the best possible start. ****************************** *********************************** *********************************** We’re also looking for Animals that need a make-over for one reason or another - They could be a scruffy pet or a rescue animal in need of some TLC - We will be concentrating on mostly superficial grooming and possibly light dental work. If you would like to know more, please email v.munro@mavericktv.co.uk (with the subject line FAMILY PET) or call us on 0121 224 8328 as soon as possible. NB - I'd like to mention that the safety and comfort of the animals involved in the programme are paramount and we're being advised on welfare etc. by a team of experts to ensure they're safe and comfortable throughout filming. I will follow this email up with a phone call later today, to chat further about our request. Many Thanks Lucy Bullock
